  2021 MIAA FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR (COACHES): Brandon Hall, Running Back – Missouri Western,...Missouri Western's Brandon Hall was named the 2021 Freshman of the Year after finishing the season as one of the league's top-10 running backs. In just 93 rushing attempts, Hall totaled 627 yards to rank eighth in the MIAA while his 7.8 average yards per carry ranked second in the league. Hall also had 15 receptions for 221 yards for a total of 888 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns on the season. - MIAA Football

  2019 AFCA DIVISION II COACHES' SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: AP Trey Vaval, Fr., Missouri Western St.,...The dynamic return man earned first team honors as selected by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America. The Blue Springs native led DII with 1,335 combined return yards and ranked second in all levels of NCAA football in the category. Vaval's 34.3 yards per kick return were third most in DII and broke a 27-year-old MIAA record. As a punt returner, Vaval ranked second in DII with a 21.1 yard average. Vaval was named MVP of the Agent Barry Live United Bowl with 225 return yards. He became Missouri Western's first freshman All-American when he earned second team honors from the AFCA. Vaval was also a first team All-MIAA selection as a returner and earned first team D2CCA All-Region honors. - Missouri Western State Football
